Kelly and Jeff’s E-Session
Dave & Buster’s, Palisades Center, West Nyack, New York
When Kelly and Jeff said, “Dave & Buster’s,” we immediately said, “YES!” When we arrived, our creative juices were flowing, and their fun was raring to go. A perfect combination for an off-the-wall, out-of-the-box, whack-a-moleariffic engagement session!
To make it even better, it was Kelly’s Birthday! So there was plenty of celebrating to be done as we explored the restaurant, bar, video arcade, air hockey tables….
Kelly and Jeff snuggle up to the bar.

And got cozy on the felt. Glad we got there early enough to take advantage of the open pool tables.

The session had an overwhelming amount of silliness.

But we balanced it nicely with some seriousness.

Just kidding!

And when we ran out of places inside D&B’s, we ventured outside.

You would never know that while we were taking this romantic photo, a dozen little kids were shouting, “get a room!” It added to the moment. Really.

We cannot wait to celebrate with these two this May at Shadowbrook! Kelly and Jeff are a blast!

Erica and Shawn’s Wedding
The Waterview Pavilion, Belmar, New Jersey
We met Erica and her bridesmaids as they were getting ready at The Chateau Inn and Suites in Spring Lakes, New Jersey. Upon entering, we saw one of our favs, Michelle Lo Conte of I Do Hair and Make-Up busy putting the finishing touches on the girls. While Steven snapped away - photos of hair and prep, I took on the challenge of figuring out how to best display Erica’s beautiful dress on a round mirror precariously placed over the room’s four post bed.
Success! Erica’s Wedding gown.

And of course her shoes.

Erica, our beautiful bride. She was beaming all day!

While I stayed with the girls, Steven created some mischief with the groomsmen and this Christmas Tree.

Finally united!

“Fiiiire Truuuuck!” Thank you to the Spring Lake Fire Department for allowing us to borrow their fire truck for some impromptu portraits.

Love the white bouquet against the truck.

Then on to The Waterview Pavilion in Belmar for family photographs and of course the ceremony and reception. Man and Wife!

Reception room details.

Cherry Champagne.

View of the first dance from the above balcony.

Erica and Shawn relaxing in the Photo Booth.

And of course the rings.

Party on! Thank you for sharing such a special day with us. We enjoyed celebrating with you!

Priscilla and Stephen’s E-Session
The W Hotel, Hoboken, New Jersey
Cold weather doesn’t mean that environmental photography stops. For Priscilla and Stephen’s engagement session, we got inventive and decided to use the lobby of The W Hotel in Hoboken, NJ. We knew the spot was hip, because we had been there a few months prior for a wedding and enjoyed the modern lighting and cool lounge-y furniture. So off we went…
Getting cozy against the mesh wall.

Some of our favs from the session. I rocked the fisheye - Steven kept a little tighter…

Classic.

Love splashed in purple!

We can’t wait to celebrate with Priscilla and Daniel this May at The Round Hill House in Washingtonville, NY!

Next time you are flipping through a bridal magazine, check out our photo from Allison and Rami’s wedding being highlighted in The Rockleigh’s new advertising campaign.
We’ve seen it in a few magazines thus far (the version below is from New Jersey Bride):

We took this dramatic birds-eye-view during Allison and Rami’s beautiful outdoor July ceremony.

We love working at The Rockleigh Country Club and look forward to our next affair there in February!

Rachel & Charles’ E-Session
Fort Lee Historic Park, Fort Lee, New Jersey
After some discussion, we decided to take Rachel and Charles to a secluded lookout point for their engagement session. The spot is literally hidden down a trail in the middle of the woods, but the view is totally worth it. And while they couldn’t take their eyes off the George Washington Bridge and the NYC Skyline, we couldn’t take our lenses off of them!
I’ve known Charles my whole life. In fact, when I was little, I used to think he was my cousin! It was awesome to reconnect, and equally amazing to get to know Rachel (and see how happy she makes him) as well.
We can’t wait to celebrate with these two next August at Meadow Wood Manor!

Love this silhouette by the George Washington Bridge.

Best photos have personality!

Classic fall photo in the leaves.

Lisa and Michael’s E-Session
Davis Johnson Park, Tenafly, New Jersey
You know you’re behind in blogging when there is snow on the ground and your photos show people in tank tops… but we didn’t want to let Lisa and Michael’s Engagement Session get lost in the blog shuffle.
We have since photographed and blogged their Nanina’s In The Park wedding (former blog entry: here), but looking at these photos, brings us right back to this sunny July day and the fun we had exploring Davis Johnson Park with these two lovebirds.
Lisa’s smile is infectious.

Kissing in the flowers.

Lily’s Bat Mitzvah
Space Odyssey, Englewood, New Jersey
We recently had the pleasure of celebrating Lily’s Bat Mitzvah with her and her family. Enjoy the sneak peak!
We started the day at Lily’s home in Cresskill, where we snapped these portraits of the beautiful Bat Mitzvah girl on her cool spiral staircase. Then we focused on some outdoor family portraits.

The day was very pink and orange! Love the yarmulkes, inside and out - peace symbol & silver imprint.

The ceremony. Lily surrounded by her family (Dad holding the Torah).

Now that’s a proud family!

The venue, Space Odyssey was a super arcade! Check out the Space Bar during the cocktail hour!

The Sushi Lounge.

And of course the reception room! The space was turned into Lily’s Lounge for a great kids party! Arcade games, bowling, laser tag, dancing…

The Hora!

Congratulations Lily - so glad we could share your day with you!

Daphney & Osten’s E-Session
Weehawken Waterfront Recreation Park, Weehawken, NJ
For those that keep current with our blog, you will realize that we are posting a little out of order. We actually blogged Daphney and Osten’s Rockleigh CC Wedding the other day. But because of an abundance of rain-outs, we ended up shooting their engagement session, just days before their actual wedding. Enjoy!

Christine and Thomas’ Wedding
Liberty House, Jersey City, New Jersey
When a couple is this much fun, our job is easy. Christine and Tom were busting with smiles and full of fun on their wedding day. We just let them be themselves and snapped along, capturing it all. We could have easily blogged twice as many photos, but we have to leave some surprises for their wedding gallery!
The day started with Christine’s bridal prep at the DoubleTree Hotel in Jersey City. We couldn’t resist this sexy shilouette in the window. Gotta get the shoes!

And of course the bouquet. Love the purple centers of the calla lilies against the white roses.

Christine our beautiful bride, a thoughtful moment.

Then off to the ceremony at St. Francis Church in Hoboken, NJ. Dad escorts Christine down the aisle.

Fun Fact: Christine and Tom met in Washington Liquors in Hoboken. So staging a short re-enactment was a must!

You never know where love will strike!

Finally off to Liberty House (in Liberty State Park). The bridal party helped us rock the giant chess board.

1…2…3… Jump.

We can see who is the Queen around here! heh.

Reception room decked in purple and white.

Announcing the new Mr. & Mrs….

First dance.

The night had many speeches and toasts.

And of course wedding cake! Shout out to our friends at Carlo’s Bakery (Cake Boss) for another beautiful sweet masterpiece.

What’s more beautiful than wedding cake and sunset?

Tom’s Grandmother “Giggy” made 100 dozen homemade cookies for an amazing dessert buffet!

And of course the rings!

What a lovely night for a wedding! Nighty Night Liberty House!

Thanks so much Steven and Brooke — we’re thrilled with the photos and had a wonderful time working with you on our wedding day!!

Caitlin and Mark’s Wedding
Tappan Hill, Tarrytown, New York
We started our day at the Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, NY. On the way in, we momentarily got swept away into an Indian wedding baraat (processional with the white horse), but the crowd soon dissipated leaving us to a quiet lobby…. until Mark walked in! Our whole day was fun and adventurous this way. We never seemed to know exactly what to expect, but things always seemed to turn out right.
The weather held out, allowing us to not only shoot our portraits outside, but also enjoy an amazing river view ceremony. A bright red firetruck showed up in time for the bridal party photos! And, we got to get down and party hard with our favorite band, The Original Faze 4 (who played at our own wedding last May).
Caitlin’s gorgeous dress. Bridal Prep.

Just something about the anticipation and emotion on the morning of a wedding.

Caitlin getting excited!

Can’t forget the jewelry - love this shot of the earrings.

Love the fire truck! We should have one at every wedding!

Mark arranged for “his” truck to come all the way from Alpine, NJ to Tappan Hill for these snaps.

Every couple has “their thing.”

Handsome groom.

Beautiful women! Love the pink and blue!

Classic bouquet.

The outdoor ceremony spot at Tappan Hill is so dramatic.

Reception room - we couldn’t decide between these two view of the centerpieces, so we blogged them both.

Congratulating Caitlin and Mark after their first dance! Warm!

Partying with the Original Faze 4.

Goodnight Tappan Hill.

Daphney and Osten’s Wedding
Rockleigh Country Club, Rockleigh, New Jersey
A lot of brides fear rain on their wedding day. But, really it’s not so scary. It rained on our own wedding day and the whole time we just kept telling ourselves that rainy days actually makes for beautiful photographic conditions. We’re not afraid of a little water, and neither were Daphney and Osten - who got adventurous with us, grabbing an umbrella and venturing outside for some photos.
Rockleigh Country Club was an amazingly helpful and beautiful backdrop to the day. Because of the sheer number of amazing spaces, we were able to keep things fun and fresh even when we couldn’t be outdoors. We utilized Rockleigh CC’s overhangs, ballroom, windows, piano, foyer, upstairs balcony and so on…
Setting the stage: a few rainy day snaps before we even entered the venue.

Raindrops on the Rockleigh sign.

An even wetter fountain.

Love Daphney’s Nina shoes. Classic & Chic.

Our beautiful Bride! Her sister totally rocked her makeup.

Love this bouquet. The rich purples of the callas and orchids just popped!

Fun Fact - Something Borrowed: The umbrella is actually the same one I used on my wedding day. We had it in the car and HAD to run and grab it as soon as we saw Daphney & Osten’s flowers.

Handsome Groomsmen!

Love this stolen moment of the Flower Girl who found something much more interesting to watch (other than us shooting the family formals).

What can I say, photography is hard work! LOL. I don’t normally post photos of myself ‘working,’ but this one doesn’t really qualify, does it?

Again, love this color palette! Centerpiece on the left. Wedding bands on Daphney’s Bouquet on the right.

Entering as Man and Wife!

A lot goes on behind the scenes - the making of a beautiful affair!

Daphney and Osten’s Invitation was tri-lingual, to properly invite all their most special guests!

A little parting romance.

Joyce & Brian’s Engagement Album
Central Park, New York City, NY
There has been a lot of album design and editing taking place at Tackeff Photography these days - so we thought we’d try something new with the blog. I know this isn’t the greatest little slide show, but we wanted to show off a recent engagement story we put together for Joyce & Brian after their central park engagement session. Some of you might remember their photos from a few weeks ago (click here to see).
Enjoy!

Lisa & Michael’s Wedding
Nanina’s In The Park, Belleville, New Jersey
Some weddings are fun, some weddings are emotional… this wedding was both! When we first walked through the door to greet our beautiful Bride, Lisa was all smiles and excitement, then laughter, then happy - nervous - excited tears, and then back to smiles again! This pattern repeated throughout the day and often extended to everybody in her surroundings. Lisa’s happiness was infectious!
Morning Prep: shot of Lisa’s Orange-y Ballet Flats.

Putting in the veil.

What a stunner! Our beautiful bride. (shout out to Michelle Lo Conte of I DO Hair & Make-Up).

Then off to the park for an emotional first sight, family formals & bridal party pics! Steven and I loved (and couldn’t resist) this giant weepy tree by the water.

Outdoor ceremony at Nanina’s In The Park in Belleville, NJ.

Michael lending a helping hand to Lisa! Through thick & thin!

Married! Another short group of romantic pics in the Nanina’s Gardens. This time as husband and wife!

Beautiful Orange & Green. Centerpiece on the left. Orange Sorbet on the Right.

The Nanina’s Ballroom. A reflection of taste & wedding cake.

The night had many toasts & speeches.

And fun dance floor antics.

An emotional dance between Lisa and her Brother.

Max & Skyler’s 5th Birthday Portrait’s
Ross Docks, Englewood, New Jersey
Every year, Max and Skyler have a photo shoot to celebrate their birthday. This year, we had the honor of documenting the big number 5! We had fun with the whole fam, snapping away in the Ross Docks section of the Englewood Boat Basin.

Max on the rocks by the Hudson.

Skyler by the George Washington Bridge.

We played the “Jumping Game.” While these twins weren’t always in unison, Max & Skyler couldn’t help but be adorable together.

Finally, the whole family!

Until next year!

Monica & Alejandro’s Day After/Trash The Dress Session
Quinta Real Hotel, Acapulco, Mexico
We are blogging in reverse - first up, Monica & Alejandro’s Trash The Dress / Day After Session at the beautiful Quinta Real Acapulco Resort. We promise to get photos from their wedding day on the blog as well, but couldn’t wait to post a taste of Mexico!
First off, we give these two serious credit for actually being awake the day after their wedding. These two partied hard until 6am, (even we didn’t last that long)! But there they were, smiling and raring to go. We took Monica & Alejandro to a bunch of spots around the resort that we had scoped out in the days prior and still found new places along the way. We began our journey at the top, in the hotel’s lobby and wound our way down toward moonlight on Punta Diamante Beach.
Outside the main entrance, sitting pretty by the Quinta Real sign.

Check out the spectacular view from the outdoor lobby.

Poolside.

And finally we made our way down to Punta Diamante Beach! Love these two images - dancing in the surf.

I was so convinced we were going to get hit by a giant wave taking this series. But if Monica & Alejandro could get in the ocean, it’s only fair that we should too.

Love on the rocks?

Some nighttime romance amongst the waves.

Yay! An amazing destination dress trashing in Mexico!

Andrea and Adam’s Engagement Session
Private Residence, Upper Saddle River, NJ and Apple Ridge Golf Club, Mahwah, NJ
Andrea and Adam’s engagement session was like a preview of their wedding day. Due to a string of HOT weather, we decided we’d try holding some of their session indoors. After some brainstorming, we decided to start the session at Andrea’s parent’s home (where everybody will be getting dressed in a little over two weeks). And once the sun started to set, we finished up across the street at the Apple Ridge Golf Club where at actual wedding festivities will be held.
Andrea, Adam and some unexpected company…

Quick shot on the stairs before heading to the golf course.

This photo reminds me of sitting on the moon…

Getting a little arty with the fish eye on the golf course.

And a little goofy!

We couldn’t move around too much for fear of walking into somebody’s golf game! But we had fun taking advantage of this small patch of sun and sand. We conquered it - oh yeah, we conquered it.

We can’t wait to celebrate with these two in October!

Jessica and Mike’s Wedding
The Hyatt Morristown, Morristown, New Jersey
Jessica and Mike’s wedding was beautifully put together. The day was emotional. The day was fun. And every last detail just seemed to fit. Even The Hyatt Morristown itself, seemed the perfect backdrop to compliment their colorful accents. All the vibrant greens, pinks & browns just seemed at home.
We started off the day documenting Jess getting ready in a spacious suite crammed with smiling faces and excitement. Throughout the day, we explored most of the hotel with these newlyweds (staircase, lobby, bar, ballroom). But our adventures were not confined to the hotel, we also visited Morristown Square Park for bridal party photos and a quick hotdog! And then a short sunny stroll to the ceremony at The Presbyterian Church of Morristown.
We snagged this photo of the shoes using a throw pillow from the bed & got arty with the bouquet in the downstairs lobby.

Glowing Bride!

Quick smootch in the lobby.

Walking to the church. Love this shot of the bridal party crossing the street for the ceremony at The Presbyterian Church of Morristown.

Every last bubble counts!

Sometimes it’s all about knowing where to look.

Best escort cards ever! Can’t imagine how much time these paper fortune tellers took to fold!

Grooms in the air. Ok, now it’s a party.

Mary Ellen & Michael’s Wedding
The Crystal Plaza, Livingston, NJ
We started Mary Ellen and Michael’s Wedding day at The Short Hills Hilton in the Presidential Suite. Upon arrival, we (as always) inquired how everybody was doing. The first response, “You have to check out the toilet!” While we have opted not to blog photos of this specific piece of porcelain, let us just say that it was worth checking out. The thing was like a super toilet. Buttons, levers, automatic air freshener sprays, a built in seat warmer, yes, a seat warmer… and our personal favorite, motion detection to raise and lower the seat… So incredible was this toilet that various members of the bridal party kept walking into the suite just to get a glimpse of the commode. It was a distraction, but only until Mary Ellen put on her dress. At that point, no fancy bathroom fixture could keep eyes off this stunner.
Kudos to Michelle Lo Conte of I Do Hair & Make-Up.

Mary Ellen and her radiant smile moments before putting on her gown.

A romantic poolside moment at the hotel’s spa.

Bride in the limo… heading to The Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey!

Bouquet.

Check out these handsome groomsmen!

The ceremony site moments before…

And the ceremony site just a short while later.

Cocktail Hour! Love the pink & damask theme. Escort Card Table.

Floating Flowers on the cocktail hour tables.

Mmmm…

But it wouldn’t be a party without the cocktail franks! (Snooping the Groom’s plate).

Party On! A happy Mary Ellen and Michael dance their reception away…

And of course the rings.

We wish these two lovebirds a lifetime of happiness! Thanks for including us!
Thank you Brooke and Steven. The pictures look great - we are so excited to see the rest. I tried to take Steven’s advice and stand back throughout the evening to take it all in. However, the night still goes fast and it is hard to remember so many of the special moments. We are glad that you and Steven were able to capture those moments for us - and make them look ten times better!
Thank you so much,
Mary Ellen and Michael

Joyce and Brian’s Engagement Session
Central Park, New York City, NY
We met Joyce and Brian at the entrance of Central Park. All we really knew was that these two lived near Atlantic City and were getting married at La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes, California. So we enjoyed our stroll through the park, getting to know Joyce and Brian a little better. What we quickly found out is that they two are very much in love, settle down in front of the camera quickly, and share a fun goofy side.
On our quest for a quiet nook, we discovered Trefoil Arch. A three part series…

Dancing in the dark.

Joyce rockin’ the ivy!

Reflective. Serious. Dramatic.

Fun. Goofy. Awesome.

We ventured to Bethesda Fountain and Terrace for another set of pictures. There was some dipping & some jumping…

Inside the Bethesda Arcade. Love under the Minton Tile Ceiling.

Finally, some summer relief… chilling in an air conditioned Starbucks. Fun fact: Joyce was Brian’s Starbucks barista in Los Angeles, whipping up his morning coffee, which is how they met. How cute!

Susan & Rich’s Engagement Session
Recreation Center, Weehawken, New Jersey
We met Sue and Rich at the Recreation Center Park on the Weehawken Waterfront. Despite these two swearing they had no idea what do to in front of a camera, they were completely comfortable and confident together. What struck us most, is how these two can have a good time doing just about anything… laughing, jumping, standing on benches, rolling on the ground, running the bases on the baseball diamond…
We can’t wait to celebrate with Sue and Rich in October (on my birthday) at Perona Farms!

Kissing in the weeds, I mean wildflowers. haha.

Somebody is excited to see Sue!

Fun with the fisheye under the baseball diamond backstop.

Love the NYC Skyline View!

We are so happy with how the pictures came out and had a blast taking them. We can’t wait to celebrate our wedding (and your birthday) with you in a few weeks!

Christine & Thomas’ Engagement Session
14th Street Pier, Hoboken, New Jersey
We met Christine and Thomas in Hoboken by the pier near 14th Street and Sinatra Drive (a nice spot near Pier A Park, but a little quieter). We wandered down by the water admiring the skyline and eventually when we had enough of the wind, ventured to Shipyard Park with its bird fountain and brick walkway. The session was filled with bench sitting, railing leaning, walking, strutting, diping, kissing, posing, some funny “oops” moments… and finally finishing with Christine & Thomas working the giant arches!

No matter how you focus in on it, these two look comfortable together!

Love this candid moment!

And this one too!

Hoboken has such great architecture. Fun ending silhouette by the double arches. We can’t wait to celebrate with these two next month at Liberty House!

Just checked out the blog, we love the photos and can’t wait to see the rest! We had so much fun working with you guys, can’t wait to do it again in just 2 weeks!

Khalilah and George’s Wedding
The Westwood, Garwood, New Jersey
We meet most of our clients for the first time over the phone or when they come in for an appointment. However, we met Lil and George under totally different circumstance, tuxedo shopping at Dante Zeller’s in Teaneck! Steven was in one dressing room trying on tuxs for our own wedding and George was next door. Meanwhile, Lil and I were out front… within minutes I was commenting on George’s vests and Lil was critiquing Steven’s ties. What can I say, we’re chatty. :) Well, the rest is history!
We started our day at very chic Hotel Indigo in Rahway, NJ. Some portraits of the handsome groom with his guys (in an elevator bank).

And the Girls in the lobby. Love the purple Pomander balls!

Then off to get married at The Westwood. Love how George can’t keep his eyes off his new bride.

Or his lips!

The wedding had a “Vineyard of Love” theme. The wedding decor featured rich purples and tons of grapes. Including grapes on the menu, cascading down the cake and even printed on the invites (which we photographed the rings on). Plus wine favors.

Lil steps in as our backup to shoot a few photos of George and his Mom.

We wish these two every happiness.

Carol & Ramon’s Wedding
Seasons Catering, Washington Township, New Jersey
Carol and Ramon’s wedding was high energy, start to finish! From the moment we walked in to meet Carol the morning of her wedding, she was surrounded by friends and family. In fact, her Mother’s apartment was FILLED with love and blessings and traditions. A really great vibe.
You’ll notice a lot of dance floor candids. This is something Steven and I shoot a lot of, but don’t necessarily always blog. The reception is one of our favorite parts of the wedding, so this is a good wedding to show more of the later part of the day.
I’m tempted to say for a Sunday wedding, the dance floor was wild… but honestly, the dance floor was crazy for any night of the week. These guys can party! We had a hard time picking reception photos for the blog, since there were so many great dance floor moments. Here is a small selection - enjoy!

A sweet beginning…

And an even sweeter bride. Carol in the limo before the ceremony at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Elmwood Park, NJ.

Caught this fun detail of the groomsmen’s tuxedo shoes during the ceremony.

Romance and stained glass. We love a good silhouette.

Married!

Off to Season’s Catering in Washington Township, NJ

And of course the Bridesmaids!

Even a Belly Dancer!

Ending New Jersey style with a little Bon Jovi. When I look at this photo, I can practically hear ‘Living on a Prayer’ -

Congratulations Carol & Ramon. We enjoyed celebrating with you!
.hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Verdana } I am very excited to see our pictures. You and Steven both have a way of taking pictures that really allow the person to relive the moment. I love the photojournalistic style. - Carol

Steven and I are on our way to Acapulco, Mexico to document Alejandro & Monica’s Destination Wedding and Trash The Dress Session. We will be spending the next few days shooting at the amazing Quinta Real Hotel right on the beach!

We will do our best to answer emails while away, but in case we do not have internet access, we expect to be back in the office mid to late day on Tuesday.

Please drop us a line and/or leave us a comment to let us know what you think.
Our pictures are amazing! Thank you so much for capturing such wonderful moments at our wedding. We are going to have a hard time picking out our favorites for our album and portraits. Also, we would both like to thank you for the beautiful boudoir photos. We wish you were able to capture the expression on both of our faces when we saw them for the first time!

MaryAnna & George’s Wedding
Manhattan Penthouse, New York City, NY
Ok ok… so there are probably twice as many photos here as we normally blog from a wedding, but we’re strongly toying with the idea of turning these images (plus a few others) into a spotlight gallery for our website. I thought it would be fun to debut a bunch of our favs here first. Consider this step one.
We met MaryAnna and George at the new W Hotel on the waterfront in Hoboken, New Jersey. This hotel, is seriously cool. Both the lobby and their suite really made for a fun start. Combine that with an amazing couple and some great accents & we couldn’t stop clicking our shutters. Especially, with amazing details like MaryAnna’s amazing black and signature red-soled Christian Louboutin Shoes.

I love this moment Steven captured of MaryAnna glancing toward New York. I think it’s especially poignant because the wedding itself was held at The Manhattan Penthouse. It sort of hints at everything to come. Plus as you’ll notice later, the venue also overlooks the Empire State Building.

George looking handsome before seeing MaryAnna for the first time.

Some playful romance by the bar…

and some sexy eyes from the bride!

Then off to Jersey City for the wedding ceremony at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church.

We took a second set of photographs in New York City at Union Square. It’s always fun walking the streets of NY with a bride and groom - who says NY’ers aren’t friendly?

Finally, we arrived at The Manhattan Penthouse on 5th Ave, ready to party!

Then came the drinking, and the dancing…

and the drinking while dancing!

After spending so much time on the shoes, the rings were feeling left out.

An ending kiss overlooking the Empire State Building. Thanks for a great night! We loved celebrating with you!

Monica & Alejandro’s Engagement Session
Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York City, NY
Monica & Alejandro’s engagement session was cool. I mean really cool. We had discussed a few potential NYC locations for the shoot, but when we found out that these two had a membership to MoMA, Steven and I were sold. The museum has such a great collection, hip architecture, an outdoor sculpture garden and so many colorful backdrops… we were excited.
When you throw in that it was also Alejandro’s Birthday AND that he was planning to surprise Monica with a little red Cartier Box, even cooler.
We started in the outdoor sculpture garden. The patio was pretty packed with museum goers but we did happen to snag a bunch of photos by the fountains & several of the more abstract sculptures.

Then we headed into the museum. Love this shot through the green sculpture net wall-thingy in one of the exhibition halls.

And by this beautiful Mark Rothko Painting. What an amazingly vivid backdrop!

And a romantic moment in front of Jackson Pollock!

We asked Monica & Alejandro what was their favorite painting in the collection, and both replied “Starry Night” by Van Gogh in unison. So a quick detour was a must.

We even had fun creating our own art with Monica & Alejandro in the Museum of Modern Art’s cool windowed staircase. We knew these two were amazing models when other museum visitors whipped out cameras of their own to snap a few. hehe.

Then Alejandro surprised Monica with a beautiful Cartier diamond engagement ring (on his birthday no less - now that’s smooth)!

We can’t wait to capture more of your memories at your Destination Wedding at the Quinta Real Hotel in Acapulco, Mexico at the end of the Month!
